THINGS THAT I LOVE:

• My husband and 8-year-old son

• My 10-year-old rescue mutt, Mabel

• Learning new things

• Getting outdoors (hiking, backpacking, canoeing, bird watching, foraging, and camping)

• Being creative (writing, knitting, drawing, sewing, cross-stitching)

• Cooking foods from around the world

• The mountains of Colorado and rivers of Michigan

FUN FACTS:

• I was a director of Outdoor Education at YMCA Storer Camps for 5 years before teaching in a classroom

• I was a college mascot (Go Commodores!) and won two collegiate mascot championships

• I play the banjo, ukulele, and guitar, but not very well...
